Dionysiou is a village belonging to the municipality of Trapezounta in Halkidiki.

Its residents come from Tsanakale in Micra Asia, which they left as refugees. The buildings, that once existed in the area, belonged to the Donysiou Holy Monastery of Aghion Oros and that’s where the village took its name from. The Monastery of Dionysiou in the area of Dionysiou village was ruined, so there are no monuments to characterize the region. From long ago the first residents involved with the cultivation of flowers and vegetables in greenhouses. On 1974 (or according to other sources, 1964) many people settled on the beach and founded the settlement Dionysiou Beach, which has a modern layout. This settlement existed before 1922.

Today Dionysiu village has about 500 residents. There is a primary school and a kindergarten and also an open public market. A Cultural Association, called "The Mouries” operates in the area. The residents are mainly engaged in tourism, as Dionysiu Beach has the appropriate substructure and attract to its coast many visitors on an annual basis.
